Artist's Statement

"My search has led me to reach beyond what is usually visible, discovering a beauty reflected in day-to-day objects. When I am impacted by an image, I move in on it until it almost loses its identity. I continue to distill the image until I arrive at its essence, the mystery of its appeal. On my canvas I reorder and recompose to reflect what I uncovered - and in that uncovering, I discover myself."
